Welcome to your KOMO Community Web site

“Sometimes I feel like the news I think is important, is never covered on TV or radio.”

All of us who work in the media industry have heard someone say this and, you know what, we agree.  That is why we’ve launched 43 new neighborhood Web sites, with more in the works.

In some Puget Sound areas, we know there are already well-established neighborhood blogs - myballard.com, westseattleblog.com, and mygreenlake.com, to name a few. These are great sites and great resources.  However, just like there are many media sources and voices, we believe we can also become a go-to resource for you and your community.

Our contribution includes aggregated news content and discussion topics started, not only by our KOMO TV and Radio newsroom journalists, but also our large fleet of community bloggers and, most importantly, by YOU and your neighbors.

We are the place for conversations to start and communities to connect on the issues that are important and relevant to where you live.  We’re taking the news gathered in and from your neighborhoods and publishing it in a place you care about.

Like every new product, we want your feedback and participation to help these sites grow and change. So e-mail us with news tips, story ideas, Web site feedback, or even to sign up to become one of our community bloggers. This site is for you; our Neighbors.
